1. Muscle is metabolically active.  

When you build it it will make you burn calories as the day goes on.  If you do intense training your muscles will need more recovery time. Strength training is amazing for you

2. Building & strengthening your muscles helps your bones, ligaments, and also tendons. 

This will help you minimize the risk of you getting injured while doing physical activities such as sports, training, playing with children, or anything physical.

3. So you want to do the cardiovascular thing? 

Working out harder is better for you. Try stressing your heart vascular system and see the results you will get. No reason for 45min to 1.5 hours on the elliptical or treadmill anymore

4. Muscle gives your body shape, tone, and makes you look really fit.  

Lose the fat off your body when you build muscle. Its like a fernes to fat. The more muscle you have on your body the more fat you will burn through the day. Insane weight loss Bootcamp

 

 

 So I am running this new Bootcamp and its starting JULY 30th. Its going to be for all types of people who are really fit or people who are  just beginners. All I need people to bring is enough water to hydrate themselves. The workout will be approximately 45 min to 1 hour long.  We will be doing this rain, shine, hot, cold, snow, sleet, etc. Weather will not stop us from working out. Myth #4: Stretching before you workout will prevent injury

 

Look the way most people stretch before a workout is actually false and will hinder you more then help you. If you are doing static or relaxed stretching before a workout there is more chance you will get injuries  then prevent injuries. I have all my clients do Dynamic stretching before hand for low reps. Now this is actually good for you and will prepare you for the workout you are doing. Think about it logically do you think holding a stretch and relaxing your body is the best before doing a workout? The best thing to do is low reps for more sets of  dynamic stretching to warm up your body for the workout.

Now after your workout is when you should be spending 15-20 min stretching and relaxing your muscles, tendons, and ligaments. But if you warm up with dynamic stretching for 5-10 min before you workout this will also help towards flexibility and help prevent injury.

Myth #3: Working out for longer periods in better

 

Although the people who are reading this article are probably working out to little, it is very important to know that you can really sabotage your good weight loss efforts by working out to much. It makes your body go into elevated stress response, which makes your body’s cortisol levels to high. Now cortisol levels are also know as “Stress Hormone”  this is involved in a variety of important metabolic functions, which regulates your insulin levels and glucose levels, which also controls inflammation.  When you have elevated cortisol levels your body will store fat instead of building muscle.

You body needs to recover and its absolutely essential that it does, especially if you are doing really intense workouts like I advise.

Studies show that running marathons actually causes to much stress on your heart ( This happens even if you are very fit)

Myth#2: You need supplements to build muscle

 

Muscle is actually very hard to build and very easy to lose, and as you get older this is even more true. To build a lean body that is healthy depends mainly on your nutrition and not what supplements you are taking. There are so many people that I have trained in the past or train now that ask me what kind of supplement they should be taking. I tell them that you should stay far away from supplements and eat better food.  To build learn muscle you have to do strength training and intensive workouts with resistance.

 

The more lean you are the higher you metabolic rate will actually be.  If you aren’t weight training as a women or man you are losing out on building good quality lean muscle which helps takes fat away at an alarming rate.

 

Good Nutrition: You should be eating a wider range of good quality, fresh whole foods, such as good quality beef or chicken, fresh vegetables, free range eggs or organic, and really try to stay away from sugar.

#1 FITNESS MYTH

 

 

Myth #1:  Doing cardio for long periods of time helps your lose weight

 

When you walk into a gym, here from most girls what exercises they are doing, or even here from Personal Trainers you will see and here the best way to lose weight is to run for 40 min to an hour on the elliptical/treadmill.

But this could not be more wrong and the fact is that its actually just a big waste of time and energy. The best way to get rid of fat is to push your body to the limits(High intense cardio intervals)  This will help you get rid of fat, get learn body mass, and a bunch of other benefits compared to a regular cardio routine.

I don’t want to get into the science to much but high intense cardio workouts produce human growth hormone(hgh), and this is a hormone that is produced  by you pituitary gland that is key for a healthy, well lifestyle, strength, and longevity.

 

You should not be spending anymore then 20 min with the cardio part.

 

Their are many case studies that show that people lose fat off their bodies and gain muscle by lifting weights the correct way and doing interval training with running.

 

You also have to remember that nutrition/diet is a big part of losing good weight off your body too. You can’t do this an expect amazing results while eating like garbage as most american’s now a day do.

Stop doing slow workouts!

 

 

If you are one of those people who just run on the elliptic, treadmill, or outside and expect to get real results, think again. I can not stress it enough that running for long periods of time isn’t going to be the most efficient way to lose weight and get in great shape.

 

The best way to get in great shape with working out is to do high intensity workouts. Ever time I go into a gym I see people running on these machines for an 45 min to a hour or more. Now look it is better then sitting at home and doing nothing at all but not at all the most efficient way to lose weight and get in great shape.

 

I actually ran into a guy last night at the store and he overheard me talking about training clients and getting people in great shape. He asked me for my card and if I could help him lose weight and train him. So I asked him what his routine is right now and he told me running 3 miles and then working out for 2 hours. Then he got into the diet part but that was a whole nothing topic.  I just find it so crazy how many people still believe in running and working out for long periods of time. You should only workout for an hour at most but more like 45 min. If you are doing any longer you are not doing it that intense.

Build Strong sexy abs and get rid of the belly fat… Quick

 

It all starts in the mind. You have to ask yourself:  ”Why do you want to have a nice flat stomach or 6 pack?”  The reason is: you want to be able to have all your clothes fit, look and feel good about yourself, and just be more confident about your body.

 

Just doing abs is not going to help you get that nice stomach you desire. Its more about eating good quality food vs processed garbage that a lot of people eat these days. You also can’t just eat 2 good meals a day even if they are good meals. The best way to do it is to eat 5-7 meals a day of good quality food. This will make your body boost its own metabolism and cause you to start burning fat rapidly.

 

The next thing is you have to build muscle. You have to build muscle in your upper body area and your lower body area to make your metabolism faster. You are going to want to do resistance exercises to work these muscles.

 

The next thing is do interval cardio for short bursts. You also want to increase the resistance up if you are using a treadmill or an elliptical.  If you do this 2 times a week for 5-8 times and this will help you lose weight even faster. The best times to do interval cardio are early in the morning or late at night. Also you want to eat more healthy fats on days that you are doing your resistance training days. This will give you the energy to do a good workout… EX:  Olive oil, avocados, coconut oil & good quality nuts.

The last thing is get more sleep. If you go to bed early and get up early you will get better results. I know not everyone can do this because life often gets in the way, but try to do this as much as possible. Again, you will notice good results from this.

 

If you do all of the things that I have said, you will have a nice flat stomach and be in better shape overall!
